Japanese Sendai Tsuho

With the special permission of Tokugawa Ieharu the 10th Edo Shogun, this provisional Sen was cast and restricted for use solely within the province.

Cast in: Ishinomaki (石巻) of the old Mutsu Province (陸奥国).

(Nowadays in the Eastern Bureau of Miyagi Prefecture (宮城県).

It was issued under the Tokugawa Shogunate rule, Tenmei Era Year 4 (1784).
